Rocky Karlage, Creator & Writer
Rocky Karlage is the creator and writer of the "Ghost Walk" story and President of Ghost Walk Productions LLC of Ohio. Born in Cincinnati Ohio, he grew up in a small, country town 'east of there' named Amelia where he was raised by poor and loving parents. In the days of farms, cow patties, bears and snakes, oh my!, gravel roads, and visible stars, this rarified and exciting world first opened his intrigue of ghostly and supernatural tales in books found in the library "down the road and beyond the train tracks".
In the supernatural realm, Rocky has had several real-life experiences with the full body apparition "the little girl", training with a psychic teacher, more ghost sightings than he wished for, temporary lodging in a haunted house, demonic encounters, UFO sightings, vampire friends, and sometime dangers from beings not so friendly. A young heart with an old soul, his love of the night is born to his blood, and he counts a black wolf as his totem. Early in his 'career' he learned people either want to believe or refuse to open their eyes to what is different, no matter the amount of evidence, sincerity or cynical wit. "If what I saw was hallucination, then I'm hallucinating you right now." Proving what he knows to be true has never been a major interest, but he loves and appreciates those who make it their profession.
In Rocky's other life, he enjoys time with his lovely wife Jeannie who claims German and Native American blood for her spirit strengths. He also attempts to share the house with two bratty and sometimes adorable cats named Sneezy and Nutmeg. Sometime writer of poetry and prose, and spiritual quester of the red road, he rounds out his days with tunes from an eclectic list of music CDs . Often seen haunting the streets and alleys of Sin-cinnati, he is a professional photographer of people, bands, models and events for Sin City Dreams Photography. It was his original concept to create a horror and ghost story through photography that lead to the various Ghost Walk projects ongoing today. He was joined early in his efforts by model and soon-to-be friend Victoria. The project named "Ghost Walk" continues to grow in Ohio. Friends and fans alike have asked for the photography-styled project to be moved into the arenas of book and movie. It is there he continues his work with a staff of creative and caring professionals who volunteer their time and effort. There are not enough words to express his gratitude. He learned from the best man he has ever known, his Dad,"If you want to have friends, be one."
Rocky's writing draws on his real life supernatural experiences and the historical events of nineteenth century Ohio and America. "Ghost Walk: The Harvest Ball" is the introductory book which introduces the 3 major women of the Ghost Walk 'mythos', and leads into "Ghost Walk: The coming of the little girl". "Ghost Walk: The Harvest Ball" is scheduled to arrive in 2009.
